Everton, the fans and the club, were the ones inconvenienced by this.

If I was one of those fans on their way to Goodison when it was called off, I’d want to know why.

Everton’s statement was perfectly right and proper. It made clear that the club wasn’t consulted, and the club wanted to know why.

The fans have the right to know both of those things. Keeping discussions private wouldn’t do that.

Absolutely, I was fortunate to get a ticket, stuck for 2 hours to get a covi19 test so I could go .just making my way to the ground then cancelled imo us supporters didn't count once again could of at least let us know first ffs

Basically City have said “we have players with symptoms” on matchday, and forced the PL’s hand, and miraculously when tested, none of them had covid a few days later.
