This month is make or break, we will see exactly how far we have come under Ancelotti
We draw that fixture quite often.I don't think it matters that it's played a few days before the derby and that the red lot will have a bit more rest. We never seem to turn up on the pitch there most of the time.
Prepare to sit back and defend with 20-30% possession?Good thing about having City then the RS is that the tactics for both games will be the same.
As long as the score line is in our favour then thats all that mattersPrepare to sit back and defend with 20-30% possession?
I lean towards break. The "take it on the chin" spin is all very well, but it isn't the same for everybody when you consider the strength of the opposition. I can only imagine how Jurgen would react faced with a similar list. This month is make or break, we will see exactly how far we have come under Ancelotti
Called this yesterday in the match thread.
City have to re-arrange a game for the league cup final, and if they continue their run in the FA Cup, as you would expect, further premier games will also need to be re-arranged. If they stay in the Champions League to the later stages they won't have any free dates to play these games, so they will be forced to play multiple games midweek similar to Arsenal a couple of seasons ago. They were always going to try and re-arrange the game for this date in my opinion.
Their fixture list is actually more ridiculous than ours. This game is sandwiched between league games against Spurs and Arsenal, followed by a Champions League tie against Borrussia. We have Fulham at home so could possibly rest one or two players, and revert to one game a week after the derby. Also they will still be without KDB and we'll hopefully have Allan back by then. Possibly as good a time to play them as we'll get.
Oh, and those fixture times in that link are wrong Khal. The kick off times for the midweek games against Spurs and City are both 8.15 pm.
Exactly. It's a bit sad the way some people are reacting. Everyone's got fixture congestion at some point at the moment. We might have 5 games in however many days, but they're all 3/4 days apart, and we've also only got 6 games in the whole month, with nearly 10 days off after. People saying it's the league/FA conspiring against us! As if they care enough about us to do thatStarting to sound like RAWK with all the conspiracy rubbish.
Suck it up and stop crying like a baby.
Stick your head between your legs and pray?Good thing about having City then the RS is that the tactics for both games will be the same.
The funny thing is that even if we do beat City we’ll still be some way behind them.I will fully believe that if it happens
