This would be delightful for Everton. Obviously well wishes for the Man City players/staff who tested positive for COVID first and foremost. As for our Blues, this gives us some much-needed rest and possibly 3 points (depending on how the PL treats situations like this). I was very concerned about our squad coming off one day's rest against a team like City.

Everton had been made aware that the game was potentially in jeopardy mid-morning but received no contact from the Premier League until after the emergency meeting had taken place.

Ederson, Walker, Jesus and apparently Mahrez all positive on their end

they’ll have pushed for postponement I think, because Newcastle vs Villa only got cancelled cos the toon had 10 out

They had a mass outbreak. City don't and have a squad.

Also...I maybe wrong but wouldn't it have been cancelled yesterday or earlier today? The tests aren't done the day of a game and I'm sure they get the results back pretty quick.

Also West Ham had 3 test positive and still played.

Honestly though, if we had Richarlison and Digne with COVID, could we ask for a reschedule with just two players affected. Or with just four?

Be funny if they made them play - they still would probably have a top side out anyway but would make it more an even playing field.

Cant see it not being postponed though. Positive in it gives the lads a good 6 days rest before WHU although might mean no fans in GP when it is rearranged.
