For two consecutive seasons we have a league competition where the authorities have made up the rules as they go.

How can anyone in their right mind take either year seriously?

This isn't bitterness either because LFC won the league last year; they were the best team by a mile and, if anything, they're badly unlucky that it'll go down in history with an asterisk as they would have won at a canter.

No, rather it's just common sense. We're 2nd in the league now, but if we finished 2nd it'd mean nothing to me given the stupidity of it all.

Without football the last few months I can safely say I would be at my lowest point anyway.

Yes, personally. I always found it stupid that it restarted - we're in a global pandemic; any team sport should be binned when infection rates are high - but at least at the start of the season every club started under the same rules.

Once crowds were allowed back in depending on geography and they changed the amount of subs half way through the season, the integrity of the competition disintegrated in my eyes and it became completely and utterly pointless.

The only - and I mean only reason football is continuing is money.

No fans for certain clubs home games, innate disadvantage, and the season end date was changed to allow completion of 38 games - all not agreed to at the commencement of the competition in August 2019.

I know for me and a lot more sport is the one thing that has got them through this pandemic anyway.
