These too cool for school/both sides type posts, where its suggested people are "in a cult" or "needing attention" is to me a sign of those who have internalised the violence and discrimination of a british state that wouldn't hesitate to step on you or the scouse people if it was politically expedient to do so. Thatcher only made this fact more explicit but some still aren't ready to accept that as their reality as it is perhaps too painful to admit.

A simple way to maintain your own dignity is to not have respect or reverance for institutions that have shown they do not and will never respect you.

Here's an example of how stupid they are, Merseyside police have the Queens crown on the logo, are they saying if they needed police help they wouldn't ask for it becuase there scouse not english? Or the fire brigade if there house is on fire? Same as you say the NHS.
