Perhaps he copes with stress by deliberately being more laid back in both intonation and mannerisms ? At times he seems positively horizontal.

From a tactical point of view, surprised that Republicans allow the crowd to be so vocal. Didn't previous years debates suggest the crowd stay silent until the end?

All over the place they are. Take Trump out and this really is a poor selection of politician candidates. No wonder he is leading the polls regardless of his behaviour.
I feel we really have poor choices on both sides. Feel sorry for the US for the next four years or so.

This is what stuns me. Can't the party heads or someone behind the scenes find a candidate with a broad appeal that isn't a fruit loop to just demolish this terrible field?

Apparently not mate. We also may have been spoilt by the appeal of Barack. He was just an awesome candidate in 2008. Untouchable really compared to this lot.

Did Trump? Cruz just seems to me like the Clinton of the Reps. Will say or do, lie about anything needed to get the nomination. Very seedy.
