Pre Season Matches.

I don't like us playing Premier League teams pre season, there's simply no need, there's a myriad of clubs out there, why play teams from our league that we'll be playing twice anyway. I think getting beat in such games could play a part as regard to confidence when the League games come around.

TFG will want to maximise any sponsorship they can, and bringing their new club over to US will help that, and improve their prestige.

Well, it didn't work this season. We lost against Coventry and Salford, and just managed to draw against the mighty Sligo Rogers.

The writing was on the wall when Coventry City outclassed us under Dyche ....

I need Everton to play in Chicago as it's close, or somewhere I want to go. Screw Florida, especially in the summer as it's a boggy hellhole.

I saw us lose 2-0 to Chicago Fire there in 2008 then we went on to Denver and beat Colorado Rapids 2-1, Moyes used to go to America most pre seasons back then.

Hopefully we've learned from last pre season. We need to play matches against good teams and take them seriously.

Last summer was a bit of a mess. We were playing poor sides and weren't even taking the games seriously. I think these games matter much more than people think, especially the second half of pre season.

I have the Everton fans sitting in one corner of the stadium and some like Delron Buckley playing on trial. I remember the car park being pure gravel and the area being sketchy as f on the drive out. And maybe a Toyota pick up truck behind one of the goals.

We went the Columbus Crew one aswell, that was 2006 and the other game was Club America in Dallas. 2007 was Real Salt Lake and 2008 was Chicago and Denver. Moyes loves it over there so I thought we would be off there this summer.

Yeah it's a pretty obvious one - I'm guessing we will try to host a ore season tournament at the new ground next summer too

Very good idea actually. The tournament idea would also really help out some of those clubs now who are struggling badly financially.

I was at the Club America game that year. It's the exact game that made me a fan. I remember Arteta scoring on a free kick early in the match.

Yes we were there, it was a nice place Dallas, boiling hot that time of year though, we saw all the JFK stuff there, the book depository, grassy knoll etc
