Premier League Standards

The quality is reasonable but I can't remember a game between the 'top four' that has set the pulse racing in the way that some of the Gran Classico have. The Ronaldinho game at the Bernabeau for instance or the Messi hat-trick in the 3-3 draw.

I've enjoyed the 'top 4' games more then the previous seasons, this season.

Sure, the quality of football is generally very high but they tend to cancel each other out in most games. I can't remember many that were won by incredible skill or great team goals.

So your basically saying that the quality in the Spanish league is worse than in the English, and that is why Messi is scoring goals for fun, and that they can turn out a reserve team and still spank the performances we have seen from the top teams in England.

I watch quite a bit of La Ligue and it's so much more exciting than England's league.

Im sure the Brazilian League would be exciting also. The Spanish have more flair and we dont have a player like Messi in England, we had 1 last year, his name was Ronaldo, but this year he has sent his utter crap twin.

You said standards are slipping, yet i think you will probably find the English teams still finishing high in the CL and possibly UEFA.

Well to be honest mate those are the teams who should be performing, but are not.

Chelsea scraped through remember, I'm not saying its been [Poor language removed] this year, its just for me not been that exciting. I find myself looking at Everton, accepting the results, good points, good wins. Then other than that I am looking at Liverpool to lose and Man U to win, and Spurs and Newcastle to go down.

Nothing else really stands out as that impressive. I actually think Villa are only doing so well because Arsenal are doing so poorly.

Football is played in many different ways, every League is different.

Both Leagues have there strengths and weaknesses, I enjoy both personally. Nothing's better than seeing Everton string five passes together though, I must say.

The game at the Emirates was superb this season between Arsenal and United.

How about when the 6th pass puts it on Cahill's head and the then the back of the net?
