Problem accessing certain threads

Hi Guys
I have a longstanding issue, there are certain threads I can see/access only via the forum main page only (so when they contain the most recent new post in that section) and can't access them from within the sections themselves.

The matchday thread is always one, the Coronavirus one another (maybe not a bad thing (!)), some threads containing polls and one or two random others.

It doesn't matter what device I'm using, the effect is the same.

Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix? It's just a minor irritant.

Honestly, no. I don't think you can find them by searching either. It's like they don't exist. It happened to me with the Carlo Ancelotti thread the other day.

Not a wind-up I thought about raising it before, just never got around to it. With these strange threads, if I want to view and/or contribute, I have to wait to catch them in the main page.

Yeah, and I think I might have previously figured out that that's what it was now you mention it. Not sure though.

I have yes. I thought this might have been it before, but I don't think it would explain the randomness of the problem with the match thread for example. It might be it, but like @Brownie I'm not sure.

I'll purge my list of ignorees and see if that helps, though a lot of them were since culled anyway I see.

If you have a thread starter on ignore, you wont see the threads they've created when viewing the forum.

Maybe it's a glitch that the ignore function doesnt work on the main forum home page.

If you have thread starters on ignore you can still temporarily unhide the threads by clicking 'Show ignored content' from within the section at the bottom-right
e.g.:

Yes, if you have people on ignore you still see the threads on the main page if that's the last thread somebody posted in.

Yes that does happen. Often I can see a thread on the homepage, but then when I go into the sub forum it is hidden as I have the OP on ignore

Yup it'll be the ignore thing. Nearly went insane a while back because of the same issue until I got in to the thread via the main page and showed ignored content.
