What happens if local lockdown happens for Merseyside? That mean players can't go out or will they be different to us and be allowed to do what they like
That's a good question, particularly since all the local beauts have been behaving like Muppets, helping our infection rate jump back up....
I'd find it hilarious if their own fans actively contributed to getting the league voided when it's so close to them winning it
(Obviously they'd just move it to help them out but still)

With regards to next season, whats the earliest we are likely to get the fixtures? Anyone have any idea on this type of thing?

0 negative tests out of 1.5k is good going. Shows they are at least doing it right in terms of training.

Big test to come when they are competitive in stadia of course.

I don't think anyone really knows cos the government (and football) just seem to be "Hoping for the best?"
I also think we are gonna have to wait and see if the selfish people (like the ones out today protesting and congregating,) have helped to up the R rate again and if it leads to a high rise then there is a chance that anything that's been provisionally planned goes out the window?

Yes this is a real danger, these mass rallies have the potential to really up the reinfection rate, not necessarily affecting those who attend - most are young enough to most likely only have mild symptoms, if any at all, but their parents, grandparents and hence the wider population.

It's ok to say the cause is more important and I'm prepared to risk it if it was only their own health - it isn't and it's a stupid irresponsible statement if they don't realise that.

Having a rally in Manchester ffs too with the north west being an area with an R rate close to or marginally above one shows how dangerous these protests are.

Large numbers think racism being a more important issue means they should risk it, but it's other people's lives they're risking too.

The restart plans will be revised and possibly completely altered if large parts of the north amongst other areas have to have lockdown reimposed.

Tbh my interest in the whole restart is negligible and couldn't care less if it didn't happen

I honestly don't see there being more lockdowns - there is talk of a need to get hospitality open asap to save millions or jobs.

Nothing in this and the events of the past two weeks gives me any indication that they care anymore about it spreading.

At this rate we'll be in the stadiums come September

We have a conservative government, they, by their very nature will always prioritise the economy.

One survey has found nearly one in four think the virus is under control and images of huge numbers, mass rallys with people packed in like sardines right on top of each other in Hyde park and other places a couple of times a week - and statements saying it's secondary in importance - I'll risk it, just massively reinforce this attitude.

It's a dangerous insidious creep towards just forget about it other things are far more important.

The restart tbh is possibly taking place in the safest conditions for any workforce, it could hardly be more controlled or safer, for as much as I couldn't care less there's clearly nothing against this being done in this very controlled manner even if there are still dangers, There always will be some risk but it is now minimal.

Controlling any fans congregating, 'celebrating' or partying in Stanley Park and in other parts (maybe for other teams escaping relegation) etc, is a far bigger worry - they can now point to TV pictures of mass rallies.

I think It's too close to restart for them to postpone now, which is utterly pathetic, none of the decision making makes sense, rates are goong up, deaths are still really really high, sport was only supposed to come back when the grade was at 1,we're still at 4 aren't we? This whole thing is disgusting and inevitable of a second wave, but i don't think anyone will do anything now when that comes back, i can't see us going back into lockdown, it's disgusting, the public seem to have just got bored of staying safe and keeping social distancing. The government can clearly see the piblic can't be trusted but are lifting restrictions all the time. Football ffs, it's pathetic.

This is not what football is about, we didn't start following the game to care about how a player celebrates and which players get fined because of a haircut, jesus christ.

Hi @GrandOldTeam, can we remove this kopite snake @Tony_Barrett a kopite lurker laughing at my post about thousands of deaths. I don't find it funny how so many people are dying and more will continue to do so with the resumption of football. This sad act obviously thinks its funny though, because they believe I'm a bitter blue and annoyed about football resumong meaning that they'll win the title.

All of their reactions have been directed at blues' posts about the resumption of football, a complete lack of awareness about the horrific amount of deaths worldwide. But they don't care about that, the only sad thing in their life is the RS winning the league. What a pathetic person who doesn't have the balls to even post on here.
