I've been to both the old and new at reading, in fact even the town is soulless

We went in, the first year they came up, and went to a boozer in the town centre.

It's a very strange place (apologies to anyone from there).

Didn't get a chance to go to the old one, was it Elm Road or something?

Personally would like to see Norwich come back up, for purely selfish reasons. As a STH living even further east than Norwich in Lowestoft, and chairman of the East Anglian supporters club, I was gutted when last season's away there went ahead with no fans. Managed to secure loads of aways for our members, only for it be canned. AND in the home tie, me and the family travelled up with some friends who were Norwich STH and made the weekend of it, only to see us embarrass ourselves in front of them, and then had to listen to their 10 year old take the piss out of me for the 6 hour drive back home. I owe the little turd one!

Cardiff on some run now

McCarthy always gets a bum deal for me.

Don't get me wrong, he's exclusively a Championship manager, but was very good for the Republic x 2, did well with Wolves to some extent, kept a more than disastrous Ipswich team in the league for years and now is doing well at.

It's no shock the record for previous clubs when he leaves is shocking.

Wolves - Lost every game and went down
Ipswich - Went down the following season
Ireland - Have yet to win a game since he left, and lost in Euro Playoffs.

I mean, i'd want him nowhere near my club, but don't think he gets the credit he deserves.

Top 2 play each other tonight - Brentford were my tip to win the league after they messed up big time last season, but i hope they come up this season just to see a different team

Reading is aparrently “Boring for 362 days a year” a local told me one day, as the days it isn’t is the festival.

Very much so.

Reading is a 15 minute park and ride away from any bars, unless you fancy drinking in the stadium hotel.
It’s literally everything that is wrong with modern football, Lego-esque stadium, ground in the middle of nowhere, too big for demand , which makes it soulless.
This x 1000. At least Elm Park had a bit of character.

Norwich and Watford looking nailed on for automatic promotion, everything is awful
Watford is far from nailed on as their lead over Swansea and Brentford will only be 3 and 4 points respectively if both win games in hand.

Brentford is the team I most want to see come up. I'm always interested in something fresh.

Watford will succeed because there have to be at least 2 teams get promoted that no one wants to be promoted. Ought to liquidate them both, horrible in their own horrible ways.

If @orly were still around he would be gutted to see Sunderland in the mix for automatic promotion in League One. But it was hard to imagine a club that (relatively) large staying down there for too long.
