Cancer of the prostate can only be diagnosed from a biopsy. It can only be suspected beforehand. The MRI does give you an infication of the likelihood. In my case it was Highly probable i had a significant tumour
These days biopsys are performed transperenially. ( through the gooch).
Its not as bad as it sounds but you will leave your dignity at the door!
The matter taken is then viewed for cell differation.

Did it metastasize to somewhere else? Im only asking as to die early 40s from prostate cancer is incredibly unlikely - cancer research's stats claim only 4 people in the UK in the 40-45 age group died from it between 2017-19.

It did mate, ended up everywhere.

He was an ex lower league pro footy player too, so looked after himself and hadn’t long retired.

what stage were you at, at diagnosis?

Apparently, the protocol for testing varies from trust to trust ?
All trusts should have the informed choice programme for PSa testing.
Basically no screening programme but men over 50 ,with no symptoms, are entitled to a psa test after discussion with their GP.
And this is where GPs are using their clinical judgement to tell blokes its not a good idea or put them off.
I said before you have to get pushy.

T2: The tumor is located in the prostate only.
T3: The tumor has breached the prostate border on 1 or more sides.
T3b: The tumor has begun to grow in the seminal vesicles.
T4: The tumor has grown into other neighboring structures, like the bladder, the rectum, or the pelvic wall.
