@NathDogg I have just changed our GP after 30 years for this reason to a GP who gives face to face consultations sad but true - we had been with our last GP for over 30 years .....
Spot on mate, I think it's a disgrace that GPs won't accept face to face appointments and would move myself if my doctor's were not opening up.

It's absolutley ridiculous, I cannot get how they have come to decide this is the right way to go, or how they have been permitted to do so by the government?

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year. My symptoms started with the biggie. I could not pee at all. I went to hospital rather than gp as not peeing for more than 48 hours can be fatal. At first they just put it down to an infection and inserted a catheter. Whilst having a hosepipe put up your Johnson sounds nightmarish it really isn’t.

After a couple of weeks and antibiotics this was removed and within 3 days I couldn’t pee again. This time I got the full suite of tests (CT scan, MRI, bone scan). Those showed a tumour but no spread. As I am relatively young and fit the decision was taken to remove the prostate on June 14th as I should recover full bladder control. As there was no spread I didn’t require any chemo or radiotherapy.

The PSA test 8 weeks later showed undetectable levels so I am (as far as you can ever say it) cancer free. I am now at the stage of a little stress incontinence (this means sudden movement rather than watching Micheal Keane) and expect to dry by the end of this month.

Please guys, if you have slightest suspicion you might have this cancer, get tested. It is eminently treatable when caught early and having a doctor finger your bottom does not make you gay.
