QPR MEMORIES

Not exactly a fond memory but I remember Les Ferdinand looping a header over Big Nev at Goodison as I watched depressed in the lower bullens under Mike Walker at the start of 94/95. He loved scoring against us did Lesley. It was either at the end of that game or losing 2-0 to Coventry that they played "Things can only get better" by D-ream as we walked out. They probably should play it at the end of every game now.

this apart from i wasn't in lower bullens lol

for some reason i thought amokachi scored his first goal against qpr in the salmon and blue kit, but after seeing the match report above i was clearly wrong, was it his debut?

remember going there while still at school ,got beat 5,0 givens, bowles and dave thomas destroyed us,they were a great side then.1st game of the season beat them 4,0 down there with ten men, bernard or davy jones got sent off

I remember that a couple of years running I was gonna go down there, but a Castlemaine hangover and wet December weather changed my mind at my 7am alarm call, both times I was severely brassed off when i woke again later wishing I'd gone.

they beat us 3,0 think it was 86 ,bannister feraday ripped us a part, the funny thing about that day was mad dog allen ,notts countys manager ,his boot came off over by the right hand corner flag in r end ,pat van picked it up went to give him it back ,and lashed it into the stands ten rows back ,allen just stood there with his hands held out ,funny as **** ,bar for the result

I've already posted some facts in the match thread but we don't exactly have too many happy memories against them at Goodison - we've conceeded two hat-tricks in four games in the Premier League era at Goodison v QPR. It could have been three hat-tricks in four games but Ferdinand only managed a brace.

I know both teams are completely different now but if you believe in your omens, the signs aren't good. I'm hoping I'm wrong.

The first time I walked out of the ground before the end of the game, about 12 minutes from the end, vowing never to return while Mike Walker was still in charge. Thank god he went not long after. It's bad enough having the away fans singing "going down" at you, but Coventry ffs! On topic, I remember when we beat QPR away 4-0 on the first day of the season in the late seventies, David Davies (later to be a bigwig of the FA) announced on the BBC Northwest sports report that they had recieved several calls from Evertonians for him to announce that "Everton are indeed top of the league"
