You mean it's reached the point where watching Everton play atrociously has become tedious and the enjoyment has been sapped?

Last season there was a buzz and expectation before each game: we felt we beat anyone; a win was almost expected; good performances.

This season there is still an expectation, although unfortunately it's now that a good performance is unlikely and at least a difficult prospect.

Precisely this.

Osman's close control in and around the box is great, we need to sign someone with that sort of composure but with someone who can then smash one in

That composure from Osman is what we have missed all season.

I think many would agree with you, where back in August I doubt many people would have believed Osman would be the linchpin to our team.

He's offering the required composure, experience and ability to pass the ball forward which we've sorely missed.

Another goal before half time will surely finish these off as they have very little spine and guile; they're more than capable to collapse.
