I am not certain about that. Think Southgate lacks a bit in tactics but at least he isn't like all the other managers that just pick players from the top teams regardless of ability. I think he can recognise the better players outside the top teams but just isn't quite clever enough tactically

Played well. Ref was a howler.

That ref was abysmal from the first ten minutes onwards - we marked one player out of the game and let Grezmen have the freedom of the park .'..
Missing that pen Waddle style was the killer ....
Tactically our Manager lacking tonight - who ever won that game would have won the World Cup .......

pickford again has had a very good tournament, Coady hasn’t played so he will come back fit as will Onana and Gueye also the others have had a good rest, so for Everton the World Cup has be ok to us.

If they had their full strength team out there it'd have been a bloodbath.

England are not at this level.

England fans are very hard against their own team, I thought they did well against the strongest side in the competition. No shame in that. I hope France go on to win it

yeah not a lot between the sides, best sides won but not a lot between them England looked nervous early doors and never really recovered enough to impose themselves, when England were on top it wasn't for a long enough for a dominant period. France quickly got back into formation quickly enough. Close call but good game. Could have been different if the pen against saka was given in the first half.
