Unlucky perhaps to be down at half time...doing OK considering what benitez has at his disposal...holgate and godfrey together at the back is a bit of a liability...both are very unpredictable. Kenny is very lucky to be making a living playing football...by far the weakest area of the pitch...probably it would have be better to go with holgate right back and branthwaite center back alongside godrey

Yeah pretty much this. If the likes of Allan, Gray and Doucoure need to be "rested" I'm not sure how they'd cope if we were in Europe and potentially playing 50+ games in the season, and twice a week for months on end.

Some proper horrid performances there. No surprise they’re having so much joy down our right, Kenny is poor. Davies similar, along with Gomes. Rondon is literally pointless. Gordon and Townsend only ones to get any credit this half. Simms and Doucore for Rondon and Davies please.

We are massively reliant on Richarlison, DCL and Pickford. And that was obvious the summer. We needed to spend at least £100million in the summer just to stand still and we spent £5million.

In fairness if you took the RS’ three best players out of their team they would also struggle to replace them.

Regardless of what you think of Benitez, you cannot say this is remotely anything like Newcastle. Cant stand the man but he left because of Newcastle's board, who I think we'd all agree are atroscious. People on here slag Brands off for not walking away if he has no control.
