4 Started career at Rochdale - may not have played many for us - I think none actually..
5 Keeper who never played for Everton first team but did for Lancashire rivals - Man U in 1960s, on our books in the mid 50s
7 Defender who never scored for Everton but did net once in USA - a personal favourite of one person on here.. long serving full back in late 60s through to late 70s.
8 Local lad (forward) who played in 1970s (two correct answers!) - both youth products, one famously walked straight down the tunnel.
18 Turned out for (another) "Everton" after he finished playing professionally

23 was indeed Jimmy Gabriel

Bit of an obscure name,but I'm guessing a lad called Steve Melledew is the lad who started at Rochdale? And Gary Jones is the player who walked down the tunnel flicking Bingham a V sign on the way?

Both: Correct - although, without the clue I would have accepted George Telfer as well.
