To be fair, as much as I disagree with all the over the top PC crap that attempts to shut down all kinds of innocent / innocuous stuff, I have to say that this ad is in fact offensive. That's because of the first impression it makes. Sure, if you analyze it and are knowledgeable about sprinters, etc. you'd know not to be offended. But not all readers have that knowledge.

Allan Wells won it 27 years ago so excuse me if I don't see a black athlete as the epitomy of speed and power... blame carl lewis, linford christie, donovan bailey, maurice green and justin gatlin not me.
And for your info, wells won at the boycotted moscow games, not that I'm saying he wouldn't have won but a happy coincidence.
Now there is a white sprinter, a greek bloke with a lovely long name that won a 200m gold back in 2000 but then went missing and lots of madness and bannings took over.

Someone said earlier if you know about athletics and I do, I love it, used to get up dead early in the morning and watch all the events as a kid, then maybe its obvious that black sprinters have no equal in speed or power, and that if you don't know this then the advert can be taken as very offensive.
Its badly done, the sprinters should be seen head on, it looks a little like a roman scene with the office worker playing the role of ceaser and the sprinters the slave gladiators....

I dont see this advert as racist at all, in fact the complete opposite, the point they are trying to put across is that their computers are the equivilent of Coloured athletes, because, let's be honest, they are widely accepted as faster on average than the white man.
