Good times. Memories of growing up, Billy and Whally, Brian Jacobs, Roger Phillips. Hold your plumbs on a Sunday, none stop laughing. Hope the local stations survive the current BBC cutbacks.
Christ I forgot how funny Hold Your Plumbs was. They even released a VHS version of it that I'll still probably have knocking around the attic

Wasn’t it just. We took my mam and her mates to a radio Merseyside Billy and Whally weekend at pontins Southport ( late 90s I think) , alcohol mayhem. Must have been 200 wild Scouse old girls on a two night bender, was a sight to behold on the Sunday picking them up. Drank and sing the weekend through.

Ended up making about 15 trips to take other people home, the bar announced that they took about £20 sales all weekend end. Lol

Was it Brian Jacques?I remember as a kid about fifteen years before Pavarotti,Carreras and Domingo brought tenors to the fore,he was playing them back then and the likes of Caruso.

Yes, that’s it. Just took a quick google and will take a look some more now. So funny how these things pass you by. I’ve a feeling he was on Sunday evenings?

Hate them and what they have become,I could put up with them years ago when they were just a local football club like us without all the media hype and getting treated a national treasure.

The constant mentioning of them by you sets off my spidey senses.

It all seems a bit much and a try hard to try and coax a reaction out of people.
