Bet he mentions Istanbul and Slippy at least 2-3 a day as a 'motivation' but negates to mention his tactics scuppered them in the first place to the point the where Slippy and "der boys" ignored him to go on and win it themselves.

Just admit you got it wrong over David Johnson he went to.Ipswich in exchange for Rod Belfitt p?is cash nothing to do with going straighten the rel lot.......
Our fault for selling him as Bellfitt was cra p ......11 games he lasted if Google your history .....
Talk me through Peter Beardsley -Gary Ablett.......

He was a great promising youngster for us mate - our fault we sold him to Ipswich in part exchange for Bellfit p!us cash ......a disaster .......

Ablett was ok - but only ok for us. Not sure why you’re going on about him actually.

Mate! When Johnson came through he was great! Liked him a lot! I know full well when and how he was transferred but that is irrelevant to my point that when he came back from the RS he was not good. When he came back, from the RS he was not great he was poor. Hence me putting his name forward as an example of a guy we got from the RS who was not a nugget because when we got him from the RS he was well past his best at that point.
Plus David Burrows not much cop in my opinion.

Nah Ablett was far better than ok, especially compared to some of the dross around him at times.

He provided experience, organisation, could cover left back and centre back and seemed to be a vital voice in the dressing room especially when morale was at rock bottom.

Apart from the lung busting pitch length run to cross for Amo at Elland Road in the semi, I'll never forget the start to the 94/95 season where we looked like we wouldn't win a home game all season and it wasn't til November that he produced a brave diving header to beat the Hammers 1-0 and get our first home victory.

I do not want success at any cost. I get that is an unpopular opinion.
