Homepage Article Rafael Benitez Appointed Everton Manager

It’s hugely disrespectful in my book, if we were playing a non league side I could somewhat understand but the two teams we played are in the top bracket of their respective leagues constantly.

Hilariously to your point though, we did actually play Accrington as our first game this summer

I know mate, but people dont' label Accrington a pub team despite both of the teams we played being full professionals and having better quality.

It feels most people hate the manager, hate most of the players, hate the board, the club and most things about it at the moment.

My take on it is we have some really good players despite what people think but we arent a team. If you put our best 11 players man for man against other sides we arent that far off but we need to be organised and play as a unit.

If Benitez can get us organised and our better players to play well consistently we could go well.

He's got a tough job turning the fans around and expectations are about as low as I can remember but normally when expectations are low we tend to do better so who knows.
I don't hate him, I just didnt want the ex-rs as our manager, but I can see why Moshiri appointed him.
Each game his team win is a reprieve.
Each game his team loses is another nail in his coffin...especially If, as was seen oft times with Ancelotti, that it was more or less down to his mistakes in selection, subs, etc.
Moshiri got him the job
Perceived...in the eye of the Chairman...and with fans hopefully back to make the point - poor results will lose it for him and nothing will change that.
It's been the same since before Carey took his taxi.

Hoofball Rafael is determined to undo any 'progress' you have made.

There's a good chance Everton could become the next Newcastle, or Leeds (Championship years).
No one cares what you think Bri, have Swansea even got a new manager yet? I mean your season starts next weekend so you need to crack on if you haven’t

Progress? My dictionary must be different than yours. Finishing lower than we did under Allardyce and by the seasons end arguably playing worse football isn't my definition of progress.

United fans want City to be denied a title by all means necessary...does that make them and their club small time?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I doubt United fans would want their team to throw a game so City don't win. All the Utd fans I know want to win every game they're in, but of course they want City to do absolutely nothing. I'm of the opinion that you can't control the outcome of other fixtures, so just hope and pray it goes your way. That's what makes sport interesting. I don't see other teams fans clamouring for their team to lose like our fans do.
I wasn't one of those fans that wanted us to lose to City in 13-14, purely because at the time we were still in with a shout of getting 4th, and I hate losing to City always have. I want Everton to win every game regardless. Do I want the RS to be successful, no, but if they are 1). it's none of my concern because it's not my team so why get invested in it (I'm only interested in the blues, I don't pay any notice to any other team) and 2). who cares, it was proven last season when no other fans really acknowledged their title and they were fuming, which was good.

That's your take on it. Me and plenty other blues wanted City to get the 3 points that day - and I'd donate 6 points per season to Liverpool's nearest challengers if we weren't looking for a win from them. That match against City we had already been leapfrogged by Arsenal and they had a game in hand. We'd blown it against Palace at home two weeks earlier.

Liv fans wanted liv to lose at Anfield to Blackburn in 95 to stop MUFC winning the title.

That nice Denise lady at the club sent me an email with a survey attached to it. I completed the survey and pointed out how disappointed I was that her board did not listen to the fans, even though they say they do, and that a lot of us don’t want Senor Benitez at the club.

I hope she doesn’t stop sending me emails, I think she fancies me.
