Like most I'm bemused, but not by Rafael's signing , simply with the pool of uninspiring candidates we decided to pick from and the length of time it took to sort it out. I'm saddened we never aimed higher.

However, being born by the ground and being a blue from birth I wish him all the best in the world and if we are in the top 4 at Christmas, playing with bottle and flair and with a few solid new signings in the squad I'll be a very happy blue again.

Nobody can despise the guy if this works for Everton surely?
