Would you rather finish 2nd with 88 points or 1st on 84?

By adding final position its a false narrative.

The manager will want to attain the most points...he cant affect other teams results.

If you offer the manager 88pts or 84pts at the start of the season he will choose 88pts.

If he got 60 points and finished 11th that would still be a major failure. It still means 10 teams earned more points over the course of the season and more importantly finished higher.
