I actually feel sorry for Rafael.

I really don’t think he knows what a complete basket case he’s walked into.

No sympathy from me.

It was pre season mate! lol if we play like that against Southampton and get tonked by all means be unhappy - we beat Juventus and drew with Real Madrid in pre season under Martinez then finished 11th that season.

People have the knives out way too early - and even if we get rid I ask again who is coming in to turn Coleman into a competent RB? Keane into a commanding CB? Iwobi into an actual footballer?

The squads a mess and at some stage we have to give a manager time to gut the squad. Hiring and firing every 2 seconds is just seeing us go around in circles.

I understand that but it’s massively concerning with a week before the game with southampton.

Wrong, we finished 5th. Pre-season does actually matter, it’s attitudes like this that are why we traditionally start seasons poorly.

If Richarlison was available and McNeil was signed Townsend would be on the bench mate.

Fuming over a pre season game when half the attacking talent was unavailable and we have made no quality signings is amazingly short sighted.

I would go with 433 myself like but its personnel that is the problem.

Richarlison and McNeil play the same position so it's a stupid way to spend £30million.

Signing McNeil for the right is stupid, he's never played there. And Richarlison has played there about five times and doesn't work as a winger playing deep - he's a forward who needs to play in a three.

I'm not fuming over this game, I'm fuming over how much of a mess we are and have been for some time.

We can easily play 4-3-3 with one more signing - a right-back. That signing should have been here three years ago.

Im concerned mate but not because of the manager - he's been here 5 minutes.

The concern for me is Brands still DOF, Coleman still at RB, players like Iwobi still getting in the side.

Add in no Richarlison and likely no DCL for the first 2-3 games and likely no quality signings people need to be realistic in their expectations.

Harry Potter couldn't work magic with half of this squad.

You must be joking - Ancelotti had excuse after excuse made for him and Silva had a "transition season".

The fanbase literally decide how good a manager is these days based on the name alone and if they aint a sexy enough name they dont deserve a chance and need legging right away.

If some fut hipster like Potter came in we could have been tonked 4-0 by Accrington Stanley and it would have been "give him a chance to bring his own players in".
