Did a very good job with Spurs even if he didnt win anything!

There is simply too many problems at EFC at present for me to care enough to stamp my feet and demand another manager given the bullet.

The players and Brands by far are the biggest - West Ham have shown you can still have a dodgy owner but do well with the right recruitment.
Our bad recruitment is down to the owner though. You cant keep chopping and changing the manager whilst also letting them bring their own players in whilst also having a DOF bringing players in too. It's not a business model that works.

Huge pressure because of his complete idiotic set up.

Gbamin in a 2 after being out for 2 years was inexcusable. If he didn't see how those cowards of defenders ran back against West Ham, Watford and how they gifted teams so much space in the middle of the park, why he chose to set up yet again to do the same thing.

Can't see him getting a win this month

Also worth noting that if the Megson stuff is true then Kenwright took the council of a man who knew what he was talking about as opposed to just sticking to his guns.

Our current owner could learn from that.
Indeed. Look I’ll prepare for brickbats but I’d probably take megson 2002 compared to where we are because at Least 15/20% of the crowd of not more would sing his name . Look at the fixtures and tell me this manager will still be here in a year , I remain sceptical. Not because megson is a better manager, he isn’t but because this is a mess and the worst part it’s all so ridiculously inevitable.

So we now go again on Sunday , a 90 mins of the second effort will give us a sporting chance . So hopefully that’s a what we’ll see .

Maybe he's just not very good anymore and was a completely ridiculous appointment

I've seen enough from our defence to know Benitez has gone in that dressing room and ruffled some feathers and they dont like it hence all finger pointing and handbags between Keane/Coleman/Holgate/Godfrey/Allan.
HAHAHA
We were set up in exactly the same rotten way as we were against Watford.
Huge gaps between midfield and defence and useless at Zonal marking.

Only a fool would send us out exactly the same way and expect a different result. Wolves just watched the Watford game and copied them.

The Defence blamed the Midfield for pushing too high, the Midfield blamed the Defence for dropping too far back. Utter Comedy.
The arguments between Keane and Allan just showed they were trying to sort it out on the pitch because our "manager" was stood on the touchline with his thumb up his arse being utterly clueless about modern football.

It's up to the Manager to dictate to both and leave them in no doubt who is supposed to be where.

Which says it all - they haven't a clue when they are asked to do anything but defend with 11 behind the ball like under Alladyce/Ancelotti.

You can argue all day and night about how good we are on the ball but we do try and play more under Benitez and this squad cant do it same as they couldn't under Koeman and Silva.

Its not a coincidence its a pattern.

I 100% back this manager to peddle half this squad oot the door they are hopeless which makes their rank mentality even harder to endure.

Ben Godfrey is clearly struggling with the after effects of Covid-19. Very sad to see how much he has deteriorated.

It goes without saying but we are desperately missing our best midfielder Doucoure and our leading goalscorer DCL.

As Evertonians we are known for our patience and our ability to be logical and reasonable in the face of adversity, so I don’t think many blues will be calling for Benitez’s head when we’re still in the top 10. Even Carlo Ancelotti, the most decorated manager in history, could only get us 10th.

I wasn’t surprised by last night’s defeat away to the most in-form team in the country. What worries me is that we are struggling to win our home games, sometimes against mediocre opposition like Watford. If you can’t win at home against Watford when you’ve got all the fans right behind you then where can you win? Certainly not at Man City, where we play in a couple of weeks.

Another worrying thing to note is that our players seem to be giving their absolute all, which is all we as fans can ask of them. The bottom line is that they simply aren’t good enough. That’s frightening really. The likes of Koeman and Silva wasted a lot of money and made a lot of poor decisions.

He has to set the tean up better is clear we need 3 cm to cover the weakness of the lack of pace and how weak the defence is. Plus this zonal marking needs to go, is pathetic how every corner is a mess need to go man to man

RB won't last long if he persists with zonal marking and persists with just playing two in midfield. Without Doucore we can not do it. Worries me how stubborn is that he didn't twig that when we got absolutely thrashed at home to Watford partly due to a vast chasm in our midfield.
