ffs the squads a mess. let’s not spend then
Dont think we have much choice Matty, if reports are anything to go by from last few days.

rather shift a few on first then maybe unearth a few more like Gray and Townsend.

but we DO need a right back asap, has to be a priority and some Left Back cover...........well actually the list is a large one not even Santa can fill his sacks this much!

Even if we lose to City, Brentford and the rs I don't think he'll be sacked just yet. Sack Benitez and all his little luvvies in the press will turn their attention to the board. They won't want all the attention on them currently, showing them up for the absolute shambles they are. If it continues to around christmas/boxing day we'll make a change around the 28th/29th December as we have a favourable run of fixtures at that point. It'll be Ferguson as they know the crowd/fans will back him in the short term and hope he digs us out of any potential mess.

A possible 24 points on offer up until Newcastle at home. I reckon we'll pick up around 6-8 points in that time

City is a winnable game, provided we have the pace to do them on the counter and stand up to them I think we could do it.

Was bang on when he said Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Positives from the weekend are the clean sheet, no problems with set pieces, Delph looking like a midfielder, Richarlison looking useful again. That was a tough game no doubt about it but was good to see the players actually responding rather than just sleepwalking to another defeat like they did under Koeman and Silva.

All that is true but isn’t it sad that we’ve slipped to the position where that draw keeps up second bottom of the form table DLLLD and a workmanlike grafting performance with basically zero created against a really poor spurs team is celebrated as us ‘responding ‘.

I’m not having a go by the way as I agree with pretty much all you’ve said but god it’s depressing.

He is bang on.

Issue is he's not going to build Rome for us.

He's going to build Rotherham.
