It's no longer a question of top 7 or top 10, it's having a clue what to do. There's no plan, and Benitez is looking more like a dead man walking as the games tick by. The only reason I thought he might be ok, is because he knew how to tighten up when his team's struggled. He seems incapable of even that now.
