nar it won't

a win tonight won't paper over the cracks about the majority of fans feel about this man

In terms of on here I agree as certain posters are focused more on Benitez than EFC these days.

But the owners wont be bothered about the fact we are sat 12th when we couldn't spend a penny in the summer and Moshiri has already blamed injuries for our poor form whether thats right or wrong.

The only thing that gets him sacked this season is falling into the bottom 3 and staying there a few games and a win tonight puts us too far ahead of the likes of Newcastle, Norwich and Burnley to catch us when you look at their own fixture lists.

the very definition of flat track bullies
Did Arteta end up permanently scarred from the "gun to a knife fight" days?

I just ask because when they got rolled the other night by United they looked more like Moyes era Everton than any team I have watched for a long time. Everytime they went after United they got joy, but went into their shells very very easily.

it would take us to 18 points

they are on 10 points

making up an eight point gap with 23 games left to go is not beyond any team

I dont know, but I do know they have years of form of beating the also-rans - its their stock in trade really.

We're a confidence side we've been streaky under every manager including Moyes when we would have good starts or finishes to the season.

Obviously this streak has been particularly bad/long but im confident 3 points goes a long way to giving us that bit of confidence to do our usual 8th-13th midtable finish routine.

Can't deny I'm a bit disappointed with the performances. You can always lose a game but capitulation is unacceptable.
Thing is: if we get rid of him, I'm sure lads like @Kev The Rat will call for his replacement's head before may comes around.

Luckily tonight, we play another team with no real backbone (certainly when they play the RS). It's the Iwobi-derby...

if losing 8 of the last 11 is what you call streaky I’d hate to know what bad form is

If we appoint a proper independent committee to review all our structures then the Spanish walrus will be out .
of course, that's what we want. A committee. A proper committee. That will sort things out.
But we must make sure it's proper.
And independent.
Only then can they carry out the review, of all structures,, which is urgently needed.

You need to get this out there, everyone needs to hear this.

Will be sacked on Tuesday, We will lose tomorrow
If wishes were horses mate. He’s going nowhere yet, I know he should, you know he should, many tens of thousands of observers of football know he should, but, unfortunately, the one person who’s opinion matters has a man crush on him. He will go nowhere until Moshiri has absolutely no option.

Unfortunately, by then, it may well be too late.

Hopefully. It is possible. Need to cut out the woeful mistakes and defend on set pieces. A good atmosphere could nick us a goal by forcing us to go forward.
That's the problem though. It's probably not going to be a good atmosphere. Infact it's most likely going to be toxic.
As a player, would you even try something even remotely adventurous, knowingng if it doesn't come off you are going to be crucified.
Somebody on that pitch needs to grab the team by the scruff if the neck and be a leader. Cause it could be a bade night for them otherwise.
