I tend to agree with FB, our problems won't be solved with a change of manager. Literally anyone will struggle with this squad but today was so passive and awful... Just don't know what the solution is.
Our problems will not disappear with a change of manager, but, the longer we leave the current incumbent in place, the higher as mountain the next manager will have to climb. The atmosphere amongst the fans and seemingly quite a few of the players becomes worse by the week

By the way, if you think that it’s only people on the internet moaning, watch the game again, when he makes his substitutions, there was a chorus of boos and than a concerted rendition of ‘ fat Spanish waiter’. The match going fans are just as pissed off as anyone and, by the way, things have to be really bad to get that kind of a reaction from the away going blues. The away lads are most loyal fans in the country.

On the box, they mentioned that the Arsenal game was the most mileage we covered in a game for over 4 years.

It’s absolutely no coincidence that working hard results in good results.

The intensity of Palace today, they aren’t a great side but they wanted every single ball.

It’s no shock that palace won today, due to their energy and effort. Whatever this grand is doing, why would he revert to the tactic which has proved to be awful?

The fans have to accept the manager is only a small boil in a giant carbuncle of rubbish at Everton.

Poor Chairman
Poor CEO
gutless squad of largely average players
FFP problems so limited budget
Owner who places his trust in the wrong people

People may be happy winning the odd game or two more under someone other than Benitez and finishing 8th-12th instead of say 14th but we're still light years away from genuinely competing for Europe/trophies.

I cant get excited by that so go ahead do what you need to do with Benitez but I wont be thinking the next sap to take on this poisoned chalice of a job will be taking us into the promise land because more than likely they'll be sacked themselves within 18 months.
So do you think Benitez is the right man for the job or is it more of a case of just not wanting to make a change?

Copy what Carlo did. Add some pace. Simple. Rafael has added some pace....

What he's not done is organise the team, set them up how to defend, make them play as a unit. He's made them currently the 4th-5th worst side in the premiership currently on all statistics that matter - goals, conceding, points, errors.

So that excuses chants about his physical appearance and country of origin?
I don't think anything excuses that. But did you think they were an issue when Everton fans sang them when he was Liverpool boss?

The fact that the only chants we have for our manager are derogatory ones says all it needs to... It was never going to work. He's not 100% to blame, most reasonable people say that. But he's to blame right now for results.

The only reason you, me or anyone else has for actually not wanting him out would be not trusting the board to pick the right replacement. That's it. There is nothing else, because he's awful.

That's not the issue though.

This issue is having a manager that can set up his team to look like one and stop conceding from set pieces for one. Baby steps.

I get that mate but if people ask me am I happy at present the answer is no but that's not down to Benitez.

I haven't been happy under Ancelotti/Silva/Koeman/Alladyce & most of Martinez's tenures.

Ultimately the problem isn't the manager and sacking/replacing him doesn't float my boat.
