A couple of weeks ago I joked about it being Fat Sam time again. Funny how things said in jest can come back to haunt you.
Up until this point I hadn’t been calling for Benitez to be sacked, yesterday changed my mind. I was calling for stability at the club and for him to be given a bit of time, but that is OK when you are not damaging the interests of the club, with what he has done with Digne and subbing Richy I now feel rather than stability we are picking up pace on the slippery slope.
Time for a change and a safe pair of hands, not Fat Sam.
Benitez seems to only have one idea, sit back and hit on the counter. Our defence is very poor, if we sit back we get hurt. This experiment has failed. Time to write off this season, get in someone who won’t wreck what little we have and regroup next summer. We should be excellent at writing off seasons and regrouping, we have been at it for years.
Our biggest problem with this strategy is that the people charged with the task of making us successful are the same people who were charged with it the last time, and the time before that and so on.
Benitez needs to go but that won’t fix things, our problems run so much deeper than a manager.

Rodriguez forced out. Digne and Allan getting frozen out. Richarlison raging on the bench. This is insanity. We don't have a squad capable of losing one of our better footballers let alone every single one of them. This is all happening because of Benitez and his ego. Most managers would just talk to their players like actual adults and attempt to build bridges before getting rid when it becomes obvious that nothing will work. Not Benitez though. If he doesn't like you then you're done and there's no coming back from it unless you're willing to beg him for forgiveness! He's an utterly pathetic control freak and always has been.

It's not sitting back though as he has 4 attackers on the field. To do that, you clog up the midfield and shorten the gaps. He's not doing that. He leaves a 2 man midfield exposed out of possession. To counter...you don't need 4 attackers - 3 tops. With pace.

If he was sitting back correctly, as with Carlo, we wouldn't concede as many as we are. What the Waiter is doing is a bad mix of a counter/absorb where we line up in a 442 out of possession and attack in a 4 2 4 in possession.

You lose the ball...you're done. Add on to the awful set piece situation... we're just poorly organised all round.

Yeah he may well have made his feelings known but I reiterate my original point....Moshiri won't listen to Billy Liar , why should he?
If he didn’t listen to Bill then why would he keep him employed. Bill must spin him a good yarn to keep his job.
