Imagine saying that given how many players we need to get rid of, we have a manager that is losing most weeks and getting rid of the only players that we needed to keep hold of?

The concern I have is shipping the likes of digne out is if it's getting rid of the wrong players. It could well mean benitez does more damage to the side than simply results. If Richy , lewen, mina all leave in the next 6 months then we haven't got much left to keep us up , pending brilliant transfer business. The latter one is something we haven't achieved in 4 years

I've given him a massive slice of the benefit of the doubt but today is just sabotage. He's signed a 20 million kid for the one position we don't need without a deal to get the incumbent out first, any club can play hardball with us now because of that.

Sure we'd play better with Townsend and Richarlison in the side but the defence is a shambles and getting worse. He's not turning around anything anything from here, he was unlucky with the injuries but at somepoint you have to be hard to beat, we concede first all the time.

No we'll panic and take the hit and FFP punishment providing our PL status is saved.

Moshiri wont give a toss if the season ended tomorrow in 15th providing the PL money is coming in and we avoid FFP sanctions.
