Coleman left wingback while Digne is sitting there twiddling his thumbs, absolutely bizarre, and stubborn.

This is the time, now. The upcoming fixtures are huge for the club cos we play other bottom six sides, so this is the time to get a new manager in.
Have to agree a little he’s cutting off his nose to spite his face, we’re not in the position to let seasoned pros on the bench right now. Get us nearer to safety and then put your authority in it

I cant stand back and watch Evertonians threaten a bloke and his family who was just taking a job on, abusing him, calling him names.

Not giving him a chance from the get go.

Those people brought shame on our fanbase - myself and a few others can hold our heads up high.
Most were, thing is we could see the good form wasn’t going to last, this run of horrific form proves it. It’s just plain stubbornness and fear now that you and other defenders have, you backed the wrong horse and it’s blowing up in your faces, it happens. I, personally, refused to have a bad word said about Martinez until it got too much and even I couldn’t defend him any longer

I wasn't exactly full of enthusiasm when we hired this muppet. But this guy is performing even worse than i ever thought and expected. Nevermind the excuses about injuries, having nothing to spend etc.

Five wins from eighteen league games, is an atrocious record. Being in the bottom five, should never be acceptable. It's pretty effing obvious, that he isn't the man to get the best out of this squad.

He should eff off back to Newcastle imo. I'm getting really sick, of this kopite Mike Walker impersonator at this stage tbh.

Give over.

Nobody on here has threatened him. He's had as much abuse as any failing Everton manager, with far more defence from the self appointed white knights of Evertonian Morality like yourself.

You've backed him into a corner and it's obvious that you aren't getting your "I told you so" moment so now you're pretending you only backed him for vague moral reasons despite you posting 1000s of posts in here about what a great manager and tactician he is and how many trophies he won decades ago.

Trying to turn your blind love-in for Benitez into some grand moral stand is a joke pal.

Another thing he got wrong today not mentioned: had to take Doucoure off he was having a nightmare, Gomes would’ve been good sub for him

I didn't want Benitez here but the other names bandied about at the time softened the blow when he did arrive.

I saw the flack the appointment brought and respected my fellow blues who despised the man. I was prepared to forgive and forget if it brought us any improvement over the dire years of Ronald,Silva,Sam and Ancelotti.

The flack started too early for me and thought it only right to cast a judgement in the New Year. His early stick was personal and not football related anyway.
I've willed the bloke to succeed with all my heart and in his defence he's had an awful time with an injury hit squad.

After a great start where I thought his tactics were very calculated, shrewd and ones that worked the baffling decisions he started making made me understand the mounting criticism a little more, baffling decisions that have carried on up until today.

This game today with a healthy-ish squad and at home to a decent but very beatable Brighton should have been the springboard to flick the on switch for the rest of the season.

Then I saw the team sheet at 1pm, oh dear oh dear.
The back 5 on paper seemed again baffling when at home, and the reality on the pitch was a shambles where Jonjo Kenny turned out to be pick of the bunch, again baffling to leave Digne out and bring Kenny in then switch Coleman to the left, why?

We should have lined up in an aggressive 433 against these, a conventional and in position back 4, with Gordon and Gray DCL attacking them from the off. However not to be, you'd think we were away at City trying to steal a point the respect we gave them, far too stand offish for a home tie against these. When we did in a couple of short spells put any pressure on them they wilted, yet we seemed to back off as soon as the momentum built.

He needs a good transfer transfer window to sort this now, I'm hoping it's not the same old window where we sign big money unknowns when teams "smaller" than us are chasing the Ings, Madisons and Martials.

Very dissapointed at present and looking for a miracle but sadly it needs a big one, and the display from some of our once highly rated players left me cold today, bar Gray, Gordon and Pickford. Is our back line as bad as this or is it how they are asked to play? As bad a defensive display as I've seen for years, I'd be gutted if I was still paying for a season ticket I'll be honest.

I'm at the point now where if Benitez walks/gets pushed or simply vanishes I'll not care in the slightest, even if that is us back at square one for the umpteenth time in 5 years. So very depressing.

Yeah, because the majority of the fanbase definitely threatened him and his family.

Literally no one worth listening to thinks that was ok. There is a world of difference between that and not wanting the guy as our manager.

That last one, is a viewpoint that is being proven more and more right every week that goes by

But every manager has failed here since Moyes (who you could still classify as a failure).

So are you saying the only option is to refuse to get behind any future EFC manager from the get go?

Hello mate.

Fine. The vast majority of us can see and condemn Bell end behaviour such as the bedsheet threats. But that doesn't preclude acknowledging that things are not going well and it was always going to be a very difficult appointment, especially if things started going badly wrong.

I think you're better than trying a moral high groud argument for what it's worth. Sad to see.

Re the booing of Rondon. I was at the game, I didn’t boo Rondon, I booed the diabolical decision to bring him on.

We clearly needed a midfielder on (Gomes for Holgate) & ideally Digne for JJK.
It was the midfield where we were being outnumbered & bypassed repeatedly.

I was booing Benitez, not Rondon.
