As someone said the other day that Sam is now viewed relatively fondly, admittedly by comparison, is both illustrative and mind blowing .

As I read on here the other day the current manager is almost uniquely unlikeable , his lack of any redeeming features is almost noteworthy.

This is so true .
Everyone knew what Sam was and that he was only ever going to be a short term fix.

With Rafael, we’ve got some people actually trying to say this is a viable, even sensible, long term appointment who should be given free reign to completely overhaul the club and playing staff.

His playing style is nothing to aspire to, he’s a poor communicator, his press conferences are like watching some dark parody comedy - is this really the best the board could do for probably the most important pivotal moment for the club?

Add that he seems the most unlikeable character and it’s no surprise people are fondly remembering Big Sam.

I’m really not interested in your history lessons. I live in 2022, not the past.
By saying I shouldn’t have a Rangers avatar, then surely you are contradicting yourself about tolerance and inclusivity? So I feel that says more about you to be honest and your “old fashioned” POV.

As for your opinion on the other stuff about dumb and dumber, I honestly couldn’t give a toss.

I don’t wish to argue with you about other football clubs or other posters. Let’s agree to disagree.
Nice avatar. :p

He's not wumming mate, he's very cunning with his posts. I think he hatesBenitez just as much,if not more than anyone else on this forum. He's a forum owners dream poster. He keeps the threads open bringing controversy to them. I don't think he's in a paid role but if I was a forum owner I would certainly look at doing so. He's pretty clever at what he does and I don't think he ever post's without a ready made back up post. Anyone who really thinks he's backing the fat man should look at all his stuff on the rs, he hates them with a passion and I'm sure he feels the same about Benitez. He's the GOT owners treasure ?

Asking for moves when another team has come in for him and he isn't playing regularly is different to being dropped for allegedly raising issues with the negative way of playing, with your manager regularly speaking about it publically when 6 months ago was happy to sign a new long term deal and wanted to stay at a club where he was happy.

Or is it the same scenario entirely?

Blame Others, Benitez Absolved.
Yeah ok. 'Nice guy' Digne exposed as a serial moaner and disruptive influence.

Do you know our history? We left behind Houlding and McKenna and their sectarianism. Everton FC stands for tolerance and inclusivity. As for your insulting a poster on this board, well I think it says a lot more about you.
If you knew your history, you would know that hasn’t always been the case

Never called him 'nice guy'. I asked whether it was the same scenario. And you bluster again instead of answering.

Do you read the daily mail for your news updates and it's opinion pieces? Or just use it for their sport? Just out of interest.

There are a number of other news outlets that carried the same information.

Maybe you should just accept that the player is no clean pair of hands whose been undermined by Benitez. He has form engineering his own transfers.

As others have stated in relation to Digne: he is very big on presenting himself - stats on how 'great' he is.

This is no black and white situation here and anyone thinking Digne isn't looking to make hay out of the Benitez situation at Everton to get his next move needs their head feeling.
