I didnt mention anything about not troubling the Euro places mate - I said if someone like Potter/Kovac/Lampard/Rooney whoever was here and finished 16th they would be hounded and thats 100% truth and with this squad falling into the bottom 6 is more than capable considering we've been in those positions with 3 out of our last 5 managers.

Since Moshiri came in expectations have ramped up and fans have pushed him to sack manager after manager.
Expectations have been raised, you’re right but with good reason. Everything should have been in place to smash the glass ceiling Moyes hit.

That said, we were in a unique position this summer and all fans realised it, that’s why it was such a missed opportunity. Expectations for the season and next were as low as I can remember for ages - for the right manager, with a convincing long term plan, this season was a free swing. There wasn’t a long term plan, Benitez wasn’t the right man…that’s it really.

So the same Moshiri who doesn't listen to or care what fans think (ie. hiring Benny, awful transfers etc) fired those managers to appease the fans he doesn't listen to?! Makes sense. (Me, I thought it was because of results).

As for "ramped up expectations" a couple of years ago we were hoping we could 'do a Leicester' and get ourselves banging on the door of the Top 4. Now we're looking over our shoulder at the drop zone, guessing where we'll pick up points to get to safety. Arsenal away on the last day of the season could have been a battle for 4-6th place, instead now we're asking the not-unreasonable question might we need to win there to secure Prem status.

Expectations couldn't be any lower. Well, at least not until Sean Longstaff arrives.

What are they doing all week. It ain't defences work.
Practicing their 'naturally happy' look whilst somehow being oblivious to the official cloob photographers a mere 20 feet away, so the whole social media world knows how fun and jovial and enthusiastically high-spirited training is......... ?

I'm really excited about seeing the fruits of Tony Benitez's New Everton revolution against Norwich on Saturday.

His very appointment was our equivalent of the Blair's clause 4 moment? Of severing the past and doing the unthinkable. For dropping the commitment to state ownership, read hiring an ex-Liverpool manager.

Bold moves require fortitude and strong beliefs. He IS our Tony Blair.

? Things will only get better ?
He'll be playing with no left wingers soon.... Aha aha Aha
