To think if we had sacked him a week earlier we wouldnt have had to sell Digne. Mind boggling stupidity, to allow him to sell one of your better players, and sign several new players a week before you sack him for results. The leadership is non-existent.

Only thing is the signings for look solid signings, yes shame Digne went but we have bought in younger players, let’s hope that bodes well for the future under another manager of course

Get a reputate Director of Football in.

Give him the remit, sort this mess out, create a culture, a strategy and hire an appropriate manager for hte role and then trust the DOF to do his job. have someone with actual experience and football knowledge in charge.

Not DBB. she does excellent work off the pitch for the club without doubt, but she is not qualified in hiring/firing managers/football staff.

Club needs to get the right person to oversee everything and go from there.

My only thing is;

Patterson and Mykolenko were spoken to before Benitez,sothe club have followed them up and got them in - why im not sure but at least its not Benitez' signings.

El Ghazi has been forced upon Benitez by the Athletic's accounts.

But yes, selling Digne to appease him and then sacking him 3 days later.

Now Benitez has virtually gone, can we all remember the utter clueless fools who used every excuse under the sun to back this fat kopite. Was clear before he signed this was never going to work. He was a busted flush when he went to China and his appointment was a disaster
