At least he shows some emotion on the touchline / in the dugout. I know appearances can be deceptive , but on the evidence so far he seems 100% more involved than the last incumbent. He also seems capable of changing things that aren't working. Impressed with him so far , but we all need to stick with him when we inevitably hit a rough patch. I think that we can all accept that at least he is trying , and that hopefully will rub off on the players.
Its going to be like an apocalypse in here when we lose next.

I can't claim to have been one of the blues fans loudly backing their team on Saturday because I was not there. Health circumstances might mean I cannot go for a long time to come so I have joined the non match going group of GOT posters. I am curious to know if we are a majority on GOT, or do most GOT members go to the games? I am even more curious to know if any of the small so-called cult" folks go to the games?
Since I moved abroad for work I can't go any more. I do get to see every game, home and away, now though due to the TV rights here. Nothing beats being in the stands though. I don't miss much but I do miss the stadium on a match day.

This last game and the 2nd half turn around...a somewhat Unicorn event in recent EFC history...will buy Benitez at little more good will.
But remember nobody boos a manager with a winning team.
No Benitez or rs lover me, but I do know a couple of decent rs...well one...and in the end you have to speak as you find, books and covers etc.
And if he gets the team playing and winning, I might have to give him the briefest of grudging nods in acknowledgment.
*goes to wash mouth out*

If he was a real died-in-the-wool kopite as some are suggesting then he wouldn’t have joined us. It’s as simple as that.

Apparently he was posing for selfies and shaking the hands of Evertonians for ages after the match on Saturday, so it seems that he has an affection for this club already.

Let’s be honest: we would have lost that match last season.

affection? I highly doubt it. Benitez loves whatever makes the "dough" for Benitez, let's not get into this he has "Affection" for us or he "gets" us that goes around with every manager.

But, as I have posted elsewhere, while he is here, I have promised to hold my tongue, and I will hold myself to that promise.

If he really did get the players motivated in second half. Good for him and a thumbs-up from my side. I am still going to reserve my judgement till we have played a sizable chunk of games (about 7-8 for me to form an image for the season).

Going out of his way to try to win favor is certainly not an example of affection for the club though, is it? It's self preservation knowing he has to do that extra work. It's was smart of him to do it though.

The fans were booing at the HT whistle and rightly so. He made some subtle changes which worked and he got his subs right against a team that is likely going down.
