who's expecting trophies?

I'm expecting to not get knocked out by QPR,

how are those two even remotely close?

Im not bothered who knocks us out mate Man Utd or Colchester Utd.

A defeat in the 4th round isn't any different to one in the Quarters.

Until we are at the stage where we are good enough to truly go all the way im not letting these defeats get to me I've been gutted too many times going out in Quarters and Semi's to be fussed anymore when the reality is players like Iwobi & Gomes are utter pish!

The fuss is that it's yet another example of Benitez' cult doing whatever they can to whitewash his failings.

You lot can't be honest about anything when it comes to him and making out he couldn't keep Newcastle up is just one of many examples we have seen.
Who was the last manager to go down and win the championship the year after?
Again, why do Geordies love him? Or Valencia, the RS or Naples (even the board at Naples wanted him back, last time I bothered to look it up)?
Look at his buys at Naples, quality.

He is good. Very good.

Doesn't mean we cant critize mind...

The league is our bread and butter, if we don't get a result against Norwich and our best players are still injured then the next games against Utd and Wham suddenly look very daunting. 10 points would then look a pretty poor return after all those fixtures.

Am I happy about going out of the cup, no. Do I understand why he tried to protect the players that will play week in, week out, yes. If you can't that's up to you. Opinions isn't it.
The league is something that we will finish mid table in, we are not good enough to qualify for Europe and we are not as bad as some of the teams below us, so won't be troubled by relegation. We are at the start of the season and playing relatively few games. We should not be putting a team like that out in a cup tie.

In the bin with this.

He had a wage bill near double any other team in that league.

Geordies love him because he spoke out against Ashley.

He's a finished manager and that's why he had basically retired to China before Moshiri and Usmanov decided to put 2 fingers up to our support.

This group of players were always going to revert to type.
Benitez isn’t going to get a tune out of the likes of Iwobi or Gomes. It won’t be long before Gray and Townsend are going though the motions either.
See Ive always believed about a team you are only as good as your weakest player, or players when in comes to Everton, not once this season have we had a decent bench, no wonder soon as we got a few injuries things went down hill fast.

1- you should be bothered that he can't motivate a team to be a very bad QPR team ( in your point colchester )
2- of course it's different, a good cup run gets the momentum going, gets the fans on side, going out early in the cup is horrible, i absolutely hate the feeling of not having cup games to look forward to, suprised as a fan you ddont feel the same
3-google cup winners or teams who have gotten to the final in the past 10 years in the domestic cups and tell me we have got no chance of getting to the final.

Come on lads the Rafatollah has just booted James out the door he's at the peak of his powers.

Stop the silliness and get behind him now. No one is bigger than the manager at this club and the squad will learn to start pulling their weight or they too will be oot the door.

@Kev The Rat more chance of us pair having a threesome with Pamela Anderson than of him getting the boot anytime soon. End this nonsense and repent.
