Well Ped who was at the game didn't agree that the sub was wrong as Gordon was fading and I didn't agree that the sub was wrong either so assume a good portion of GP didn't either.

Just because a handful of Geordies are desperate to make Gordon something he isn't doesn't make the managers deicison wrong.

Richarlison comes on and scores in minutes - Gordon could have played 180 minutes and was never scoring.

Thats the difference - be annoyed at the sub fine but booing it? Come on thats embarrassing which our fans have been for months.

Singing about Carlo dying

Abusive banners aimed at the current manager

Calling for a managers head after losing a pre season game.

We're a banter club now and the neanderthals cant see it.
Thanks, non-mate but let us be balanced here, you want Benitez to get Everton relegated so that good blues can hopefully get into the playoffs and a day at Wembley.

It would be better for all if you did not try and think or type, thanks. ?

….the problem they (the board) have with Benitez is that he’s an appointment that could turn the whole club sceptic very quickly. They knew he divided the fan base, we are already getting a flavour of how nasty the situation might get even after a reasonable start. A prolonged run of bad results will result in as bad an atmosphere as we’ve seen.

i don’t understand this call from you and the couple of luvvies ‘to get behind him’. Fans on a forum will criticise the manager if he deserves criticism, they are passionate about their club. It doesn’t matter if he’s only spent £2m, a top manager organises his team, a top manager manages games effectively, a top manager makes us difficult to score against from set pieces. Basics.

Benitez won’t be allowed the same wiggle room as other managers, the Board surely knew this. Where we as fans have real responsibility is to keep criticism proportionate. He’s a local man with a family who live local, criticism should not stray into threat, it shouldn’t be hidden behind anonymity on social media and daubing on walls.

Only Benitez can turn the situation around. I didn’t want him appointed but I sincerely wish him well.
It's not just a Benitez issue. Any manager into this club since that dullard Moyes has faced a mountain to climb.

As for "it doesn't matter he spent less than £2M": you're being ridiculous.

Aren't you supposed to be an ex-player? I'd have dribbled rings round you no problem.

Never seen a fence so far up someone's rectum.

Ancelotti managed to make us defensively solid but it wasn't enough for people. Benitez ships goals left right and centre but he avoids criticism.

The arguments are tedious. We are now at a point where Benitez gets credit for any win, but when we lose he gets zero blame and we blame everyone down to the kit man instead.

It's a sad state of affairs, you can only laugh at the state of the club and the opinions of our fans. We are a complete joke and people need to realise quickly what is going on here. The club has lost its entire identity in only a few years.
How likely is our defensive fragilities likely to be down to a manager noted during his career for defensive organisation or down to our hopeless defenders?

The set piece set up didn't result in us conceding 3 goals in 15 minutes from open play.

Wake up mate - we have a crap squad with a weak mentality and when 3 of our 4 defenders are all out of form shock horror we dont defend well.

Keane has been a disgrace since game one gifting Southampton a goal

Godfrey has been awful

Digne has been garbage

But its all on the manager of course it is.
Mate you're 100% correct. How many managers shall we sack before one of them jettisons Michael Keane off into that space dildo with William Shatner before he costs them.

I don't know

But I saw Ancelotti organise these players and avoid needless set piece goals. So I know we can be much better than what I'm witnessing - I've seen it before. There is no excuse for being this poor.

I blame players and manager. Ancelotti set a standard, Benitez is lowering the bar enormously.
