Think Villa and Newcastle absolutely pumped us as well. City away I think we got slapped for 5 once too.Off the top of my head:
Arsenal away 7-0
Arsenal home 1-6
Wigan Cup 0-3
West Brom home 1-4
Dynamo Bucharest away 5-1

Yes I'd say it's a perfect time for them to re unite. With us being so romantic and sentimental we would probably cancel any compensation due too.Talksport, at the mo.
“ Is it time for Benitez to return to the Toon “
I can't believe the likes of Moshiri / board didn't consider that if things started going tits up with Benitez in charge the fume would be 10 fold more than any manager we have had because of Benitez's links with the RS etc, way more than the likes of grief Martinez got and he got it to death.
Played 9 league games and had 2 beatings already.Things haven't gone tits up.
We took a beating in one league game out of a season of 38.
Most fans don't got overboard with their reactions, especially when we have an injury crisis, unless they have agendas.
I think what @LouReedwalkonthewildside says is absolutely right - the problem isn't the objective reality, but the perceived reality - which is amplified massively by who Benitez is.Things haven't gone tits up.

Thing is if Newcastle can just walk in, and take our manager like we did once to Watford, it comfirms we are a small club, we need to keep Rafael to save face, they can have Eddie HoweTalksport, at the mo.

He might say he wanted to move to a big club aswell…From the day their takeover went through, I always thought this might be worth a bet of a pound or two. Any Newcastle fans who don't like their new owners would surely be won over by their Messiah returning.
Can only imagine what Rafael's first press conference would be like: "it is amazing to be back home, with the fans who all love me and I love them and this city and this club; it's where I always would have been if I hadn't been forced at gun point to walk away and go to China for £12m a year".
Things haven't gone tits up.

pretty sure half the fanbase would help Rafael pack and drive him there.Thing is if Newcastle can just walk in, and take our manager like we did once to Watford, it comfirms we are a small club, we need to keep Rafael to save face, they can have Eddie Howe
I loved Carlo and defended him to the hilt as any good manager needs time when suffering from a depleted squad like ours. I extend the very same courtesy to Senor Benitez. People hoping for yet another managerial change are willfully deluded. We won't be sacking him. He might very well jump to the Head Choppers if he thinks we're sinking fast, but we won't be pushing him. As with Carlo, the manager's faults are the least of the problems besetting this club.Played 9 league games and had 2 beatings already.
We had an injury crisis last season but the people using that as an excuse now because they love this manager, won't let that be used as an excuse for the previous manager.
Sorry just catching up.
Has anymore found out why he left Rondon on and then brought Iwobl on just for spite?
To be replaced by who? ask anyone who wants Rafael out to give a a name they cant, without making a fool of themselves, it will either be a dud, a fossil or someone unrealistic.pretty sure half the fanbase would help Rafael pack and drive him there.
EDIT: if the new owners legit want Rafael and offer to give him a bigger contract, he'll be driving himself there as quick as he can.

O yeah, it was a bigger farce then i rememberedWe didn’t actually just take Watford’s manager, we wasted 6 weeks chasing him just to get pied off, then got Allardyce. Then we got Silva when he was a free agent the next summer.
You mean apart from Forevertalkingbollocks saying the 5-2 defeat was ok, because ancelotti drew 2-2 against Newcastle.Nobody is blindly defending the manger
