I think staying up til 4 in the morning to watch a friendly against Bolivia in the hope our centre half gets 10 minutes is very commendable.

Ramiro will play in the first XI against Bolivia (alongside Gonzalo Rodriguez) but will be on the bench against Mexico (Demichelis - Otamendi will play). It looks like against Bolivia will play the "second team" (Kun will be the exception) and the "first team" will play next week against a more powerful team like the mexican.

Think Demichelis will not play much more in the national team. Indeed he announced his retirement after Copa America but I guess he thought it better.

If Ramiro is a success in England will be three names for two spots: Otamendi, Garay & FM25.

to be controversial, or he just really likes balanta, and was upset he put him on the bench, who knows.

I don't know that Vickery but even he is a boss, it's football and most clever scouters could fail. Marcelo Bielsa knows quite a lot about this thing and when he was Newell's Old Boys youth coach trained someone called Gabriel Batistuta and he thought Bati will be a crap, so...
