if he starts at LB i can see him having a mare sadly. he'll probably be a very good defender for us eventually, can just see him getting torn in his firts game in english football out of position.

but we hardly have any other alternatives.
That's my fear; him being throw into the deep-end which may knock his confidence and give the fan's a negative first glance to his capabilities.

Chelsea haven't started particularly well, but that doesn't mean they will not today and they clearly have talented attacking players.

The Argentinian league isn't anywhere near to the standard of the Prem, so it's a big jump: Pedro, Hazard and Willian could have a field day.

I hope they don't... I hope the lad shines (if he does play), however it's clearly a concern for many a fan.

Flip side of that mate, is that the ground should be buzzing and right behind us, and it could really inspire him to put in a massive game on his début, bloke has form for producing something special in the biggest games of his career and style wise Pedro is similar to wingers he will have at least trained against for Argentina and possibly River

I hope it does mate, I sincerely do. Goodison can help and he'll have undoubtedly played in high pressure games; it's the football that worries me.

5 at the back would possibly be the safest bet, but then we still don't have anyone to play left wing back. lennon maybe but that's a tad odd.

ah well, whatever will be will be

I reckon if the lad is chosen to play at LB today he could surprise a few. Will be buzzing today if he hears he's in the starting XI, plus he'll have lots of help from Barry. If he gets his chance I hope he takes it. Fancy an early yellow for him though either way.

In the past Di Stefano,Sivori,Maradona,Kempes,Ardiles,Teves and a thousand others didnt do too badly
Currently I suppose Aguero,Zabaleta,Otamendi,Falcao,Higuain,Mascherano, and especially Di Maria have a lot to learn
