I'd say Martin Demichelis, before he lost his pace, was a sublime centre half. Infact there were spells where he was excellent over the last two seasons for City. However, the good Argentinian defenders do come at a premium in times gone by, but the likes of Otamendi and Garay are rated highly, I couldn't really comment on them, as i've never seen them, but for City to lump £30m on that lad, shows Argentina may be developing defenders for a change.
