if fit mate I'd be going Holgate, Williams and Jagielka as a 3 and Kenny and Baines as full backs.

Not ideal as it's a lack of experience on the right hand side of the defense but it's needs must isn't it. If we were playing 3 at the back I would have selected Holgate instead of Mori anyway tbh but that's not the point, he's a left footed option plus can fill in for Baines.

The central 3 is still fine, it's just the inexperience of the right side as you say. My gut tells me that Koeman won't have two kids in there, but it makes the most sense to me. Holgate at right back in a 4 is asking a lot of him. Losing the extra man also puts a bit more pressure on the two centre backs you'd have thought.

Not that my opinion means anything, but if we were to go with 4 at the back with a kid at right back I'd expect a long afternoon.

yep just posted that mate that it's another option down. I should imagine this will open up a big chance for the likes of Antonee Robinson based cover for left back, Kenny right back, Pennington as cb cover.

On a positive note it could be a great chance for another youngster to make an impression and no better games than the rs away and utd away as a test!

Yeh not an ideal situation considering we were on such a high coming into these last 9 games but as you say good chance to see some new kids.

I think he's really poor and only slightly preferable to placing a large traffic cone in our penalty area, but I don't want to see us play a back 4 because I think what's left of our defence needs the extra man for help against their pace.

For each disastrous moment like our Seamus getting cleaned out or Mori with a potential bad injury, it opens up a massive chance. for someone else to make a name for themselves.

Surely international games need to be scrapped outside of the World Cup these are multi million pound assets for clubs who being injured can potentially cost clubs millions of pounds. All well and good FIFA paying the wages whilst injured but that's a drop in the ocean to the actual amount lost in a players value/dropped placing in the league.

Effin down to bare bones now we'll have to spend a kings ransom in the summer just to replace the long term injured. Football is evolving and in the modern world of business and finance international games have no place unless clubs can receive £££ compensation for bad injuries in their millions.

none of the youngsters have let themselves down so far have they mate and can you imagine having Kenny, Baines, Davies and Rossley all playing. When was the last time 4 local lads played for one side in a Derby I wonder.
