RB Leipzig

Signed a kid from Villa on loan + option. It’s the 2nd RB signed in January, 3rd RB signed this season, and 4th overall in the squad. Is Koeman the manager?

RBL Matchday

Transfer window has shut so back to league action and a home tie vs St. Pauli that is a must win if the hunt for a top 4 finish is to be realised. Frankfurt could only draw yesterday which helped massively but Stuttgart beating Dortmund means they're now in 4th place but can be leapfrogged today. Both new boys have made the squad which is as fresh as it's been in ages with Lukeba returning to the starting XI. Despite being down in 14th place St. Pauli have the second best defense in the league so will be a difficult watch today I'm predicting. Openda has been dropped (presumably) for Nusa up top - can't say I care much for this back 3 formation still though!

Game is LIVE from 16.30pm

1-0 RBL

Pauli hit the post on a break and then immediately Leipzig bomb up the other end and Sesko scores a lovely goal. Individual attacking quality of this team is nuts but defence is still proper dodge.

2-0

Leipzig down to 10 men after taking down the attacker as last man. Silly challenger with Seiwald coming across anyway. Game has hit a massive lull which for Leipzig lately usually means they’re about to get battered.

RBL Matchday

Chance to start the weekend off right with a Leipzig victory and potentially moving joint 3rd depending on Frankfurt's future result. It's an away trip to Augsburg who don't really have any superstar players but are quite a solid team. Orban is missing due to his red card suspension and again Openda is weirdly on the bench. I'd like to think this should be a victory but they're so unpredictable this season.

Game is LIVE from 19.30pm on Sky Sports Mix
