There Thursday morning flights mate, outbound flight Thursday 10.50 arrive Geneva 1355 train up to Bern, you're killing me here mate I keep having to double check thinking I've got it wrong ha

What are the trains like from Zurich to Bern is it best to book advanced tickets for the train or do the prices remain the same there on the day of travel?

Zurich to Bern is one of the main routes so there are trains every half hour or so. Last train to Zurich is around midnight, getting in at 1am.

Ticket prices definitely won't go up on the day of travel. One way from Zurich to Bern is generally 50 francs. SBB (train company) do sometimes have special offers, but I'd personally just wait until you're here and pick up tickets on the day. Return tickets aren't cheaper either, by the way, so 50 francs one way, 100 francs return.

checked these flights earlier, hotels are expensive everywhere. about £100 a night.thought about a night in brussels myself, then the train in the morning. if your on a budget seem's the viable option.

I dont know how fussy you are but there is a youth hostel in the centre of town with availability for £25 a night. Anyone else going from Newcastle to Geneva on the Thursday morning the flights are still dirt cheap plus the train from lime street to Newcastle is only £18 each

Me and a mate on that flight, flying back to Heathrow on the Friday. just booked it and flights were about £120 return. Got a hostel in Bern for £45 for night too. Was worrying we couldnt' do it on the cheap for a while.

Most expensive outlay is looking like trains..though the site only lets you look at prices up to Jan 20th currently so they will have to wait a while, told by mates who have been before that Geneva to Bern will be available for around £20. Hope so! Not sure what Bern to Zurich will be like for the return flight!

Why are you flying BACK to Heathrow on the Thursday morning ? Did you mean Friday ? How do you get such cheap flights back to Heathrow on the Friday morning ? British Airways ?

I mean Friday morning sorry. Flying around 11am - was £140 for 2 of us last night. Flying with BA correct.
