Im thinking of doing the same, what are the train connections working out like, cost and timewise Ger.
Train from Geneva to Bern about 1 hour 50 min. Train to Zurich just over the hour. Can`t book them till they`re available in January. Not sure what sort of prices. they`ll be.

Saw that. Costs seem to around 20 euro each way. - I am arriving in Basel 4pm on Wednesday and flying back on Friday from zurich .. Stay in bern Wednesday night - should be good fun night

Sleeping in the car with my lad over 2 days(big SUV) not lookin forward too this trip cause of the trip them players are on at the moment..

Ah we'll, got myself signed up with a Munich fan who goes too there games a lot and he's almost garantied me tickets( it will not be hard gettin tickets.they can be bought at local fan shops and outlets).
Just cannt be arsed watching it at the moment

Just to confirm the whole of B is reserved for away fans so numbers of around 5000 should be correct the following sentence translated from YB PDF "The whole sector B is used as a guest sector. For annual season ticket holders in the B sector therefore one seat per year ticket is reserved in sector D." Also anyone driving should consider the cost of the Swiss vignette around 33 euros the cost of trains is also expensive ie Zurich to Bern 55 Swiss francs each way so for 5 of us 550 francs (£360) nearly as expensive as the flights the alternative would be to hire a car for around £100 add fuel both ways plus parking about £160 so £200 more for the beer kitty lastly flights from Liverpool to Dublin(Ryanair) then Dublin to Zurich (Swiss Air) still going for £160 through skyscanners booked one yesterday

If that is the price for the train might be worth lads buying a ticket to Stuttgart (me and a mate doing that as added VfB v Dortmund to the trip) only cost us 29€ single and is a change at Zurich so just get off there. Booked on bahn.de

Checked prices from Stuttgart think it was 88 euro return on DB Bahn but flight times and prices getting to Stuttgart didn't warrant us going that way it was better for us via Dublin/Zurich but probably suits you there's that many combinations of routes I can't keep up with it !

trains will be about 20-25 euro E/w i am flying ryanair dublin to basel on wednesday and fly back Zurich friday night ...zurich flight price is high now but best option i think

i booked train from zurich to berne return on sncf.com website for £73.25 inc postage. not sure i got a better deal than waiting but seems ok to me

Past caring now about this comp, great day out for those going over but we have Leicester City 3 days later, i just hope Roberto knows which one is the more important .... if he is still around
