Lets not get off topic guys.

We are talking about some little scum burning our flag and threatening the queen.

Out of order, way out of order.

A line needs to be drawn, these people think they can do say whatever they want and be free from punishment.

Wow, what a thread, politics raises its caloused head once again.

so the daily hate, oops, slight slip of the tongue, the daily mail has ran a story about muslims, well, theres a first.

If you look at the pictures, notice the wording, lessons have been learned from the danish cartoons incident. no inciting of murder, no threats of beheading.

the last picture is interetsting, is it me or are rushdies eyes really REALLY close together, and how did that stunning piece of arm candy get that impressive scar on her arm.

Back to islam, the 'individuals' on the streets with their placards and burning flags arent the problem, its the 'individuals' above them that have instigated these actions that are the real problem.
The fact that muslims are followed around by reporters with cameras intent on sensationalising any and every act is another part of the problem, thatcher said of the IRA (remember them?) "deny them the oxygen of publicity". she was 100% right, and it applies to terrorists and their networks today.

As for the estonains re housing a monument that is their choice, if the monument was causing a problem in a certain area then perhaps it is right for it to be resituated - i wouldnt have because it has caused more problems having moved it - and i guess they knew this when they did it. Currently there seems to be a clamour for eastern european (former soviet bloc) countries activley pursuing a public bust up with putins russia, Are they acts of independance? Are they acts of malicious intent? i dont know enough to make a judgement that i'd be a hundred percent confident in.

Now, you may or may not remember the incidents in france,

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/2907701.stm

Someone made a very interesting point about the BNP.... who is it thats just been voted in as president in france? whats his history and political beliefs?

I couldnt give a [Poor language removed] about flags being burnt, a flag is a piece of material, it has no relation to the country/state/people is supposedly represents.
If you want to get your blood boiling consider how the IRA bullied and mudered their way into seats in parliamnet (adams, mcguinness) and one of the biggest hypocrisies of all, Nelson Mandella, he treated as a saint now, and although his fight for equality does him great credit, anyone and i mean ANYONE that makes and plants bombs is a terrorist and should be hanged there and then.

There are problems in Britain, and I believe the problems are getting worse, as it is there is no deterent through punishment

two cases, (i use both so i dont get labelled anything untoward by any 'human rights lesbian do gooder with a chip on their shoulder' or to give any 'gang of [Poor language removed]' a sniff of an opportunity to try and take the moral high ground and castigate me)

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4416988.stm

note - "We killed the white man." - "That will teach the white man for interfering in [Poor language removed] business." - Mr Yates died of extensive fracturing of the facial bones, caused by multiple kicking and stamping.

The above murder wasnt considered a racist attack.

the following case doesnt involve murder, but it highlights a certain something...

i dont particularly like the daily mail, but i cant find the bbc report...

"I'm going to get sent down anyway."

3 rapes, serves 7 years. pardon me for my disgust.

To conclude, bring back the gallows, prisons dont work, and reoffence statistics continue to rise.

How does it lower me to there levels?

They are threatening our head of state and burning our national flag, and I propose to ask them to leave if they hate the country so much, how is that wrong?
Quite good on revisionist history, Rob. Go back and look at the quote from your words above it. If you want to categorise that as "asking them to leave", be my guest. In the same way, they might categorise burning the flag as "trying to keep warm".

I called you rob_japan because that was your nick on here. Or has that been historically revised as well?

I don't particularly agree with burning a flag because I think it is a provocative act which isn't particularly effective, except in drawing people like yourself out of the woodwork. Which may well of course be the point (if you know your history) as if you try to polarise societies, extremes on either side become far more acceptable.

But we are, or rather you were, talking about a flag, for [Poor language removed]'s sake - and not even the flag of the country where you and I were brought up. And if you get so upset about an offense to your beloved symbol, then I'm sure that you are far more likely than me to empathise with the offense that Muslims feel was done to a far more deeply-held and sacred symbolic belief.

And how does your reaction equate to your fundamental belief in the right of free speech for Salman Rushdie? Or is that road only a one-way street?

To me, it's just a flag. And I would get just as pissed off (in fact, probably more because they are my own countrymen) when I see people draped in it pissing and wanking in the public squares of Bratislava, Budapest and Prague.

my point is that they seem so intent on attacking the country they live in, don't like it... leave.

Am I really saying they can't have their say? no not at all, but these are the same people who have condemned salam rushdie to death for a book he wrote....

Its not like I'm telling them to be silent on the matter, but their way of going about it just makes them look bad and thats part of the thing that pisses me off, every part time racist, facist or anyone who has a chip on their shoulders is gonna see this and use it.

These people whoever they are, the high up religious leaders condemn any form of freedom of speech when it comes to their religion, whether it be a book or a cartoon.

IMO they are only adding fuel to the fire, the IRA btw didn't need publicity they had bombs and guns.

Thatcher was never and will never be right on anything (and this is going off topic) ever, she was and remains today the worst thing that ever happened to this country.

I agree on the pissing on the streets etc, IMO its a disgrace and anyone caught doing something like that should be just be banned from having a passport.
I say start with Anfield.

Now there, Rob, I agree with you 100%. I think it's a move which is aimed at stirring things up and is used by any of the many sides with a vested interest in that end.

cant happen, if one goes off they all do, and then its 'goodnight vienna'

Suits mate, I understand what you mean. But with a hitler like fanatic trying to build an atomic bomb, what will be the likely outcome if he succeed? Are we going to see a second holocast?

I hope I'm wrong but the only country in the world who can and willing to stop them is United states. The rest is just sitting and watching without care.

someone mentioned earlier that russia is feeling the backlash from all its foreign manipulating, but all countries are at it, the us, france, even britain.

I dont really see north korea as that much of a threat, compared to the us they are insignificant, its iran for my money that are the problem. and they have the nuclear arsenal, and the capability to use it.

that said the only country to use nuclear weapons against an enemy is the us, and it does seem a little hypocritical that one side with nuclear weapons dictates who else can and cannot have them as well.

oh, and while good money is thrown after bad fighting unwinnable wars, and pressuring rogue states, the chinese keep their heads down and get richer and richer.

and it wasn't so long ago that the "commies" were the enemy in America.

Now china and america are sleeping in the same bed very nicely.

What I notice from this side of the world is that Russia and China have Excellent political relations, give it 100 years and I bet the cold war will be back.

Back on topic, the sad fact of this is that one group above all are going to suffer as a consequence.... ordinary british muslims.....

This type of empty headed display will always be seized upon by the likes of the Daily Hate (UKIP to the Star's BNP) and will end up polarising people to the extent that you get usually level headed people finding the BNP attractive and slightly less level headed people wanting to throw them all overboard into the Pacific.

As a response to this over-reaction, Muslim youths become far easier to isolate and Brain wash with extreme religious rhetoric. It's easy to see why these extreme types would set out on an apparently self defeating course if you look a few moves down the line, they wish to create a divide, almost creating a Muslim State within a State.

What baffles me is that the last honours list from a reputedly astute Prime Minister results in the Knighthood of such an emotive and divisive figure.

Having said all of that, top marks to the ugly little dwarf for pulling that rather delectable bit of skirt... scar, or no scar, I would;)

not bullshit as always mate, tell it how it is, spot on (y). In truth its more fool us for giving the rantings of one extremist pakistani politician so much media space unless of course that coverage is assisting ones own political aims here, oh yes it was the Daily Twisted wasn't it.
