Guess the big thing will be how Browning recovers, he looked tired at the end so we may go with Stones at right back and play Mori alongside Jags in the middle. Lennon and Del should play and we should go for it, Rom to play well as he does every other game.

Pick a strong side and go for this cup.

Interesting to see how we approach this. On the one hand we desperately need a trophy win, but on the other, the financial rewards in the league this season are unprecedented. Possibly the first time I would be pleased with the 5th placed trophy nonsense.

I would be tempted to try a few of the kids. IF we could unearth another for the first team, especially in an attacking sense, we could really do some damage this season.

I would play Stones and Funes Mori as central defenders, Galloway and Browning in front of Robles. McCarthy and Vedic with Lennon and Del and Rom and Kone up front, go to Reading and win.

A must win. The early promise of this season counts for nothing if we're not sustaining cup runs. The Swansea, Watford and Tottenham results already make a top 4 challenge a hope more than real expectation. Our best chance this year is promising league form (most likely 5-7th depending what the likes of Liverpool/Tottenham/Swansea/Palace/West Ham do) to galvanise the support and keep up a positive atmosphere aroud the place with good performances but the substance of the season coming from real cup runs.

We go out of a winnable cup like this early on to lower league opposition and we're deflated as a fan base.

....super fit lad, wouldn't have thought he'll be tired come midweek.

This is a really tough game, Reading are doing well lately. Anything other than a strong team and complete application will see us out

We owe these one.

2011: Everton beat Chelsea on pen's at the Bridge to secure our place in the next round of the FA Cup.

Next round comes; Reading knock us out at Goodison. Everton that.
