Considering it's the norm for Catholics to tell Africans that wearing a rubber is somehow the devils work (and presumably HIV is Jesus giving them a love bite!) you have to question why anyone would want to marry one of the nut jobs. 3 million deaths per year can't be wrong. What's that Mr Brown? You don't care about the pope being an utter ****, you're more interested in issuing a statement on Jade Goody? Marvelous. As you were.

Flagging that one you anti-Papist bigot.

The Lancet apparently is gunning for the pope after it claimed he distorted science during his comments on condom use. To be fair to the pope, I think he said something along the lines that the church's doctrine on abstinence is the only failsafe way pf preventing HIV infections. But let's face facts, he didn't help and he knows damn well that condom use is the most effective way to stop the spread of the disease for sexually active people.

It was a bad day for the world and in particular Africa when he said that. Why the catholic church can't just get with the times instead of misrepresenting the risks associated with AIDS is beyond me. It's not like it has to give up much, it just has to admit that condom use can prevent the spread of the disease. It can still advocate abstinence. But I suppose every sperm is precious.

Pope Benedict is a Vatican One man at heart. He'd have everyone excommunicated for not eating fish on a Friday if he could get away with it. Not a liberal, that's for sure...although I think he got the ****ty end of the stick media wise over the 'Nazi Bishop Williamson' affair.

I believe the Church in England and Wales is still waiting to find out who'll succeed Murphy-O'Connor and that the frontrunner and obvius choice (Vin Nichols) isn't hardline enough so the process is dragging out.

Anyway, I've drifted a bit there. And **** the Royal Family, I dont want a Catholic on the throne in any case. Best keep away from them, they only kill each other.

if there isn't a better reason for having a revolution then it should be so that Wendy James can sing Revolution Baby to us all.
